Beth Dow

Director

Beth is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of LaGrange College with a BA in Psychology and Social Work. She is a Certified Alzheimer’s Educator, a Certified Senior Advisor and a Geriatric Case Manager.

Beth opened Home Helpers of GA & AL, a Home Care agency, in 2007. In January of 2018 Beth turned over the day to day operations of Home Helpers to her son and opened Solutions by Beth (SB2 ). The goal of SB2 is to provide guidance and education to both the family and the professional caregiver.

In 2019, Beth joined the team at Monarch House. Today Beth serves as Director to a place she says she “fell in love with”. Beth continues to the provide community presentations and workshops for seniors, the children of aging parents, and family and professional caregivers. Her book “My Loved One Has Dementia. Now What?” brings help and insights to families living with dementia.

Patty Ishoshima

Resident Care Director

Patty graduated with her BSN from Indiana University and has spent the last 7 years working in elder care administration. She has been on “both sides of the bedrail” in the assisted living arena as she had a loved one who lived in assisted living communities in Indiana and Georgia. Patty explains, “I was the daughter crying in the director’s office when mom first moved in.”

As Resident Care Director, Patty is responsible for the health and welfare of our residents. She not only provides direction and supervision of our Resident Assistants, she also coordinates with outside health care agencies.

Patty graduated with her BSN from Indiana University and has spent the last 7 years working in elder care administration. She is a professed bookworm, chocaholic, stationary nerd and mom to a fur baby. She enjoys going back to Indiana to visit family and friends, but doesn’t miss the snow and ice.

Dez Ross

Activities Coordinator

Dez was born in South Africa. She graduated with a degree in Communications and Organizational Management. Dez is sincere, friendly, curious, and positive! With boundless energy and a gift for encouragement, she is always looking for new and exciting ways to help our residents step out of their comfort zones and into a life of laughter and engagement.
