Katherine Coker

Executive Director

Katherine is originally from the Florida Panhandle and has resided in Newnan, GA since 2012. After graduating from Chipley High School, she attended Florida Panhandle Technical College, where she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech and then her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Over the last 34 years Katherine has worked in Med Surg, ICU, Wound Care, Long Term Care, Personal Care and Assisted Living. Katherine’s passion has always been in Alzheimer’s and Dementia becoming personally attached to the residents and their families. Katherine has been an Assisted Living Director for the last 7 years and brings with her this experience.

Katherine personally knows what family members go through when deciding to move their loved ones out of their homes and into an Assisted Living community. Katherine’s mom has been diagnosed with Dementia, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia. After living with Katherine for 3 ½ years, the tough decision was made to move her into a community.

Apart from spending most of her time at Monarch House making sure our Residents are getting the best care possible, Katherine is in school finishing up her Registered Nurse/Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Marissa Brown

Resident Care Coordinator

Marissa was born and raised in Newnan, GA. While in high school she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant and began to work at Monarch House. After graduating from Northgate High School, she attended Columbus State University where she obtained her Patient Care Technician at Piedmont Hospital. After moving to Columbus, she realized that family is one of her top priorities and support systems, so she moved back to Newnan. She is now attending the University of West Georgia to obtain her BSN/RN degree. Her future goal is to obtain her Master’s Degree in Nursing and begin teaching others in an University Setting.

Marissa is a Certified Medication Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician. Wound Care trained along with Med-Surge and ER trained.

Marissa’s passion is to help others better understand their bodies, and achieve their recovery goals. She felt lead to be in this field due to her strong connection to her community and the care provided to them. She looks forward to this next journey with all the residents and staff.
